Out-the-door price, explained
The only number that matters is what you actually pay. We show it on every car.
Example: 2021 Hyundai Tucson SEL
| Vehicle price | $14,298 |
| Dealer doc fee | $899 |
| Est. AL sales tax (3.5%) | $532 |
| Dealer add-ons | $0 |
| Out-the-door estimate* | $15,729 |
Plus tag and title. Nothing else.
Questions
What is an out-the-door price?
It's the total you pay to drive the car home: the price of the car plus every fee and tax. At our store that's the vehicle price, the $899 doc fee and Alabama sales tax, plus tag and title.
What's a doc fee?
A documentation fee covers the paperwork to title and register the car. Ours is $899 and we show it on every car instead of surprising you at the desk.
Do you add dealer add-ons?
No. No etching, nitrogen, paint protection, VIN etch or "market adjustment".
Why do some dealers' prices jump at the desk?
Add-ons, "reconditioning fees", required financing and protection packages. Always ask any dealer for the out-the-door price in writing before you drive over.
Why our prices are lower
Lower overhead than the big Huntsville stores
No glass showroom on Memorial Parkway or University Drive, no giant sales floor to pay for. A lean lot on Highway 31 means less baked into every price.
No add-ons, ever
No nitrogen tires, no etching, no "protection packages" stuffed into the price. You pay the price, the $899 doc fee, sales tax and tag. That's the whole list.
We buy smarter
We buy a lot of fleet and lease-return cars and keep our own shop, so we don't pay someone else's markup to get a car ready.
We price to sell, not to sit
We'd rather sell a car this week at a fair price than let it sit for months. Fast turnover is how a small lot beats big-store prices.
